Garouste and Bonetti

Elizabeth Garouste (Paris, 1949) and Mattia Bonetti (Lugano, 1953) have been working together since 1980. Their first collaboration was the decoration of the restaurant "Le Privilège" at the Palace in Paris, and they exhibited their first collection of furniture and objects at the Galerie Jansen, Paris in 1981.

Elected as designers of the year in 1991, their work figures in the permanent collections of Musée des Art Décoratifs, Centre Georges Pompidou, and Fonds National d'Art Contemporain, all in Paris; the Seibu Museum in Tokyo, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museum de Milan, and the Kunst Museum in Dusseldorf. Their names are also associated with prestigious names such as Daum, Nina Ricci, Shiseido, and Christian Lacroix.

In 2000 they designed the tramway in Montpellier and have subsequently designed a complementary range of street furniture for Adshel for the city.
